Marko's 2008 race debut postponed

Marko was scheduled to participate in the Euroseries 3000 season opening races at Vallelunga on 20 April but decided, in consultation with his sponsors, to withdraw for various technical reasons.

He tested the car for the first time on 17 April and took part in free practice and qualifying.

Gianluca Pomozzi of TP Formula, the team with which Marko tested and qualified in 4th (three tenths of a second from pole position), said: "We are obviously sorry not to take part to the races, but we are anyway satisfied of Marko performances throughout the weekend. Even though it was his first time on a F.3000 car and on this circuit, he has always been competitive and we are sure that he would have impressed during the races. We hope to see him soon on track."

Marko is evaluating a number of racing series including GP2 and WSR as he looks for the right opportunity to combine with Formula One testing duties with the BMW Sauber F1 team.
